Little girl knew enough to get away from the snake but not enough to properly evade it. Young animals, including humans, have no survival instincts. I wonder why? Seems like the creator would have built that into the biology in order for the young to get old.Mother tries to save her two daughters from a venomous snake in Australia pic.twitter.com/UYLtsIuk00

I'm starting to believe the stories of MARSOC going away. They're doing more exercises with Force Recon & less with the rest of SOCOM

Why can't we have nice things. For the price of the CH-53K we could have bought the MH-47G Block II (1.5 according to what I've seen online) and have a true penetration helo

Oshkosh Defense unveils new variant of Marine remote fires vehicle
I wonder why it had to be an unmanned vehicle? Extend the wheel base, leave the cab and drive the damn thing. This was a reach for high tech that was unnecessary. If anything make it where it could be left alone and still launch missiles remotely...which would have meant to simply put it on a trailer, but I guess all that's too simple.Oshkosh Defense unveils new variant of Marine remote fires vehicle https://t.co/I63E46UQIl

4 U.S. Army soldiers killed during exercise in Lithuania near border with Belarus, NATO chief says
Four U.S. Army soldiers were killed during a training exercise in Lithuania, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said Wednesday, speaking with reporters in Poland. The U.S. embassy in Vilnius said earlier in a statement posted on social media that the four soldiers had gone missing during training, and it thanked the Baltic nation's military and police for helping American forces search for them.
A U.S. official would say only that the four soldiers were involved in a training accident.
I respect the dead.
Honor their sacrifice.
Wish the best for their friends and family.
BUT I have to wonder if they were part of the undercover US mission in Ukraine.

I'm going FULL BORE Think Defense Blog on this. We should take advantage of commercial machinery & stop with the MilSpec shit...
Not at all a fan of the MLR concept. I like what Compass Points is pushing. An enhanced SOC/MOC MEU. That's a Special Operations Capable/Missile Operation Capable MEU that is viable in ALL THEATERS! Having said that the NMESIS project is a freaking mess. An unmanned vehicle that has to be controlled with a Marine walking beside it with a gaming controller? That's bullshit. We could put those missiles on this rig, have it full deployable, launch it in any direction and get the hell outta dodge. The Marine Corps has never known for being fancy but somehow we've wandered into those water. Simplify, Simplify, Simplify. This is an EXTREMELY simplistic example of modern tech not beating old skool ways...
— Everxon Terra (@EverxonTerra) March 21, 2025I luv tech. Live on my phone and computer but we have to be nuanced. Tech is awesome but sometimes old fashioned stuff works better. I guess the battle is knowing the difference.
